Finding all the backlinks to a site you’ve just taken on, or monitoring competitors’ backlinks can be a costly exercise with the price of tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush increasing their costs each year.
I now have completely free solution to these woes in the form of an unlikely hero….. Bing.
Yes, the search engine 😂 more specifically, Bing Webmaster Tools.
Anyway, onto my cheap Asian money saving SEO hack – It’s pretty straightforward to get started. Sign up for Bing Webmasters, connect and validate your domain. Then go to Backlinks in the left hand menu, in the new screen, click on the top menu item for “Backlinks to Any Site”, enter in the domains you want to check out, and viola!
I’ve now bestowed upon you great power, and with great power, comes great responsibility. So do with this information what you will.
Obviously, some may be quick to point out that it might not be 100% accurate, and to be fair, Ahrefs, SEMrush and other SEO tools are not 100% accurate either. No competitor tools are going to be, and focusing too much of your efforts into watching your competitors isn’t healthy or productive either.
